In 2012, we set up Family Mediation North East, which outgrew its regional home and became Pax Mediation. We specialise in a wide range of services, including family mediation, divorce mediation, separation mediation, and child custody mediation. With 10 years' experience, we have worked with people to enable them to have the discussions they need to reach decisions for the benefit of their children, their finances, and themselves. Since we were established, we have helped over 14,000 families resolve their disputes through family dispute resolution and have over 50 years of combined mediation experience. We are leaders in online mediation, assisting clients locally, nationally, and internationally.

We also offer tailored parenting plans mediation and co-parenting support to help parents navigate post-separation challenges effectively.

We have been pioneers in creating mediation legal packages because clients told us they were being charged excessive legal fees for their divorce or separation mediation and didn't feel their solicitor supported the mediation process. To address this, we established partnerships with legal firms to provide tailored packages of legal advice to support the mediation process, including MIAM (Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting) sessions and legal aid mediation options.

Our director, Sarah-Jane Turnbull, is a member of the National Family Mediation Council Standards Board (FMSB) and a key decision-maker in setting professional standards for family mediation.
