One in four women in the UK will experience domestic abuse at some point in their lives. Some men are also victims. The effects upon children are significant and long lasting.

Legal Aid is STILL available for court applications for victims of domestic abuse but there are strict criteria (see below).

Domestic abuse does not rule you out of participating in mediation, but we explore your situation carefully with you and we only proceed when you are reassured you will be safe and comfortable.

In some situations, we use SHUTTLE mediation so that you do not need to be face to face with your abuser.
